Description
Advaita-Brahma-siddhi is an important work of Advaita dialectics. It is simpler than other dialectical works like Advaitasiddhi and Citsukhi, more lucid in style and exhaustive in presenting the views it criticizes than the previous works, though inferior to them, to a certain extent, in the force of arguments. It can be compared with another great work of Advaita, viz., Vivarana-Prameya-sangraha of Vidyaranya. It takes into account almost all the important arguments of the prior dialectical works of Advaita from which the line of arguments of the Advaita dialecticians with their presuppositions and conclusions. success and failure, becomes clearly visible. This makes it a recommendable work for the beginners who try to enter the perplexing jungle of Advaita dialectics. Dialectical works of Advaita deploy long chain of arguments in order to disprove the views which present themselves as opposed to it. They try to prove that non-Advaitic views are inconsistent and self-contradictory which cannot explain the world as well as themselves satisfactorily, whereas Advaita view can do it.
