Description
Acharya Dhananjaya, located in the tenth century, had composed the Natyashastriyya Prakastra Granth, in which the ten distinctions of metaphor have been mentioned with characteristic examples, along with the interpretation of the object, hero and juice. This entire discussion has been mainly based on Acharya Bharat’s Natya Shastra, along with it, help has also been taken from other texts available at that time. This is the reason why this book, which gives an all-round interpretation of drama, remains the necklace of the hearts of all the scholars even today. Its style of discussion, simplicity of expressions, intensity, maturity and presentation with humility have fascinated all the scholars. The fact is that after Acharya Bharata, Dhananjay was the only Acharya in the history of Natyashastra, who has left an indelible mark on the hearts of the poetic scholars, which has not been forgotten even after almost twelve centuries. There will not be any university in India, in which it has not been made compulsory for a student studying Sanskrit literature.
