This term conveys the sense of intuition, that a seer had and hence was responsible for the development of the system besed on that particular intuition, which may concern with truth (tata) or knowledge of soul. Every system of Indian thought, called as darsana, has its source in the divine visions or the intuition of a sage, with whose name it is associated. The Yogs system is called as Patanjaladarsana and the Mimamsa as Jaiminiyadarsana. Others are known in the similar way.
